Hi Welcome to Fix Ya. I also use an Asus with Lifeframe. Have you tried copying the photos to your Photo folder in your default picture library? In other words, if you right click your photo in the lifeframe app and select 'copy to' a drop down menu will appear that reads: 'Select Folder.' Click on your Win Profile name.
Then select 'My Pictures' folder. The path will read: C: Users Your profile name Pictures 3. You can then make a new folder or you can save it in the Lifeframe folder in a new separate folder. Hope this helps.
Thanks for using fix ya! Jul 10, 2011. Hi kathyhandra, You can turn on and off the ASUS virtual camera by pressing the FN+V.
The Virtual camera uses software called ASUS lifeframe. You can locate and launch it by looking under the ASUS utility group of Icons for Lifeframe. When you open the application it is usually set to video mode. So, to switch it to camera click on the camera icon which is located at the lower left circular menu. Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows. Open the Start Menu. A) Click on All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and System Restore. A) Click on the Recovery icon.
B) Click on the Open System Restore button. A 'System Restore' window will appear. Here you will have to check 'Restore computer to an earlier time' A) Click on the Next button Now you will find a window with Dates, Description and Type, Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date. The detail of that particular date should show 'System Checkpoint' and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

1 Answer SOURCE: I too got the vk26 monitor with the built in webcam. So I too had the problem with the software.
I tried drivers, redownloading and uninstalling.etc,etc. But packaged with the monitor is a series of cables, one of which you HAVE to plug the into the back of the monitor and into your computer. I thought that the dvi cable would take care of everything, ehh,I thought wrong. Asus didn't mention that in the very small worded monitor guide. So in short, once you install the software, you must you the usb cable that came with the monitor, plug that in,and you're good to go. =) Posted on May 06, 2009.
811 Answers SOURCE: I have to say Win 7 did not give you virus's these come from online activities or downloading software or not have an anti-virus software installed or not taking care of cleaning your computer of files that are no longer needed from a deletion of a unwanted program. Spyware and Mail-ware are also common. There is several software preventive measures which insure these kinds of infections do not get on to your hard drive. Recently instead of using popular anti-virus software on the market today, Microsoft offers the Windows Security Essentials for all of their products you can only download and use them if you have passed the 'Genuine Activation Process' I personally have deleted all my anti-virus programs and now use Security Essentials.
It is none intrusive like most anti-virus software is these days which can bog down systems and performance. To solve the issue with the upside down picture if there is no rotate option to turn the picture over your cam is active you do not need to necessarily use the original cam software that came with the cam device only to load its driver. I use other cam software that works just as well with any cam. You can find them anywhere some free and some not so free maybe the question might be to ask others where to get the free cam software for a cam?
Personally I will not use cam software that does not have many options to choose from. Once stuck you have to reload the software again. This would be my option if I had a cam that was not working properly reload the software that cam for the cam the drivers as well.
Be sure to delete the cam software that came with the computer and use the drivers disk to restore your cam files and program if you have it. If you do not have it then try an external program that will work for any cam on the market today.
Asus
Keep tweaking with it there has got to be a selection which will allow you to rotate the picture. The cam itself is not faulty but the configurations is without seeing what it is doing that would be my guess. John Posted on Jan 17, 2011. Hi Welcome to Fix Ya. I also use an Asus with Lifeframe.
